Winding Mossy Ways...

shed, my garden shed, wild yew, wild,

My messy workroom

Welcome to my pagan blog

Welcome to my blog about the winding mossy ways that lead through the pagan heart of the wild wood. In the wild wood is my natural home where I feel most alive and at peace. Since I was young I have sought out the wild places to rejuvenate my soul and find inspiration sitting around the fire with others of like mind telling tall tales and songs. Its paths lead to the source of who we are in this life and the next. This is the path of myth and magic where the heroes of old live on and walk with us to guard and guide us. This is the path for all of us who cannot live in a world without those often hidden glades of the imagination where not everything is as it appears to be on the surface of things.

Headings

"I believe in fires at midnight when the dogs have all been fed" Jethro Tull

Lighting fires in the forest and spending the night drinking, playing music and telling stories and poking the fire, feeding it, has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Never so happy as when I am beside the fire with a guitar or whistle or drum with a group of friends of like mind under the stars. The fire is a central focus of Druid practice as one of the four elements and pillars of the world we live in and a potent spiritual force of transformation.
